Chapter 2
 
(Link is out in a field where he's alone, playing his new song. It gets dark, so he leaves. The last note rings in the air around the spot where he was playing. A few hours later, a palace guard comes by for inspection.)
 
Guard: What kind of enchantment is this?
 
(The dirt starts stirring.)
 
Guard: What is this?
 
(Zombies come up from the ground. These are not re-dead, though. These are Zombies that are new to Hyrule. They arise from the ground, and walk, with their feet dragging, and their moaning. The guard runs, but more come out right in front of him. He spears one in the chest, but it is no use. They keep coming. One bites his hand, and the guard lets out a shriek of pain. More bite him, and he becomes a zombie himself. They all go back into the ground, and the sun rises. Link wakes up.)
 
Link: What's with today? I feel like crap.
 
(Link wakes up. A messenger from the palace comes.)
 
Messenger: One of our guards disappeared. 
 
Link: Does queen Zelda want me to investigate?
 
Messenger: Yes. The disappearance was last night. There were no witnesses.
 
Link: I need more evidence to see who did this. Until then, tonight I will be showing the queen my new song.
 
Messenger: What song might that be?
 
Link: It is the song of life.
 
Messenger: Where do you plan to play this?
 
Link: By a graveyard. I'm going to find the ghost of the former king there. She does miss her dead father…
 
Messenger: I hope you have fun then.
 
(Link leaves for the palace.)
